Discover the ore in the pits of your insolence
Nurture it in your mother's humble light
Forge it in the furnace of your becoming
Till even your shadows learn to guide.
Surrender to the magic of the undoing
Bequeath your sins the glory of birth
Let the ruins sing in tongues of dawn,
The fabled path of a common boy.
