The Limits of Today
A poem by Achuthan Panikath

And here comes tomorrow
The incomplete masterpiece.
Cook in the night
the clandestine broth of possibilities.
Sway to the melody that consumes
Cower from the fire unstarted
Mock today for its impossibility
And recognize the fragile now.
For tomorrow is your whispered quest
Destined but not signed in blood.
Unknown unknowns as your truth;
All we know seem all too less.
And as she comes, you will see
Tomorrow was always meant to be
And as she leaves, you must know
Today was all you could've been.
