Wisdom for our Ages

Believe in something, anything would do,
As long as it’s alive, in case you want to sue,
For all the times, “The Believed” never blessed,
“The Believer” with goods of gifts outguessed.
Love in our ages flows like Ganges, but led.
With tributaries to the sea, love goes unrequited.
To the various dads, beloveds, chickens and scooters
Not necessarily the order; Thank heavens it’s not worse.
“Trust nobody and you rule the market”
Repeat the folks of Wall street who neatly set,
The nets of promises for those who trust,
And for those who don’t, they tell the keyword is “trust”.
The fourth in line for the wisdoms of our time,
Is the bond that we share with our old buddy- dime.
Sans him, there is no fun, wherever man goes.
Alas! That day! I’ll buy him the richest rose!
Enter the world-adorn a mask.
There is simply no time to stand and ask,
‘Where does the race end or what may we gain?’
Cause if we do, we’ll know it’s all in vain.
