A Shared Harmony
A poem by Achuthan Panikath

And all it took was a moment.
A lost ray of sunlight, a roll of the eye.
A young drop swept to an ancient shrub;
The gumption of a woman so beat yet bold
Up from her knees to err once more.
Our names stay the same but softer now,
Breathing thoughts that once were deafening cries.
Redraw the margins of wants and fates;
A hostile takeover to repatriate hope.
Now I return to the normalcy of new,
A song retuned to the hums of my heart.
Yet I wonder, lorn and jocund friends,
Do your moments hum like mine?
